Recognizing NetSuite's Super SuiteImpact Volunteers
How these superstar #NetSuite employees are giving back to their local communities
Recognizing NetSuite's Super SuiteImpact Volunteers
NetSuite’s Employee Volunteer Programs were designed to provide opportunities for our employees to give back locally and globally. To that end, our employees receive 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer in hands-on community service projects each year.
With SuiteImpact Teams, our hands-on volunteer program, our employees around the world are given opportunities to give back to community organizations through quarterly hands-on volunteer activities. So far this year, more than 1,200 NetSuite employees have volunteered more than 4,300 hours in their local communities.
For this blog, we’re excited to recognize NetSuite employees who used all of of their 16 hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO) in the first half of this year. From helping paint the home of an elderly cancer survivor living on a fixed-income to tending to an organic community garden, these employees have gone above and beyond in terms of giving back.
Here’s the list of employees and a glimpse at how some of them used their hours:
Riza Grace Agustin
Office Location: Manila
Agustin says her favorite activity this year was running the AmCham ScholaRun, a 5k race to raise money for education scholarships for underprivileged youth.
Jeff Beardsley
Office Location: Remote and Durham
When Beardsley is in the Durham office (he mostly works remotely), he uses his VTO at Habitat for Humanity, Urban Ministries of Durham, and SEEDs. He’s also am a regular blood platelet donor at the Red Cross.
Laura Bowman
Office Location: Durham
Bowman, a former SuiteImpact Ambassador in the Bronto office in Durham, is still an avid volunteer, giving her time to causes like Habitat for Humanity and Urban Ministries of Durham.
Roman Bukary
Office Location: Denver
An avid hiker, Bukary uses his volunteer time serving as a search and rescue volunteer with Denver Search and Rescue.
Ruben Castro
Office Location: Manila
Ryan Cates
Office Location: Durham
This year Cates used his volunteer hours sorting clothing, preparing lunches, and helping organize the food pantry at Urban Ministries of Durham, a nonprofit providing services and resources to the poor and homeless.
Jess Foster
Office Location: Durham
Foster founded an annual charity evening in the memory of her best friend who passed, unexpectedly, of a rare autoimmune disease called Vasculitis. This silent auction night of glam happens every year, at the end of April in Raleigh, North Carolina to raise money for the Vasculitis Foundation and to honor her memory. Outside of the year-round work that goes into that event, she loves to spend time with the Brown Bag Ministry, forcing coworkers to work with Habitat for Humanity with her, and regular community outreach with her small group.
Victoria Hutchinson
Office Location: Durham
Similar to Cates, Hutchinson says she’s loved using her volunteer hours at Urban Ministries of Durham, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the poor and homeless in the local community, whether she was helping make 270 bagged lunches in a day, sorting clothing, or restocking the pantry. She says it’s such a great feeling to see staff smile knowing they have extra help that day, but even more rewarding to know she’s helping her community.
Scott Jeffries
Office Location: San Mateo
Jeff Levy
Office Location: Durham
Arkajit Mandal
Office Location: Chicago
Misti Pinter
Office Location: Durham
Odessa Secosana

Stephen Thorne
Office Location: Toronto
For the last 30 years, Thorne has been a Leader with Scouts Canada working primarily with youth 11 to 17 years old. This includes many, many weekly meetings, as well as day long, weekend and week-long camping trips and other activities throughout the year. Last summer included an extended international trip to Hong Kong and Japan for the World Scout Jamboree with almost 34,000 Scouts from 104 countries. The number of hours spent with Scouting are too numerous to track.
Rachel Winston
Office Location: Denver
So far this year, Winston has taught reading skills to elementary school-aged youth with Reading Partners, and helped paint a house for an elderly cancer survivor with Brothers Redevelopment.
Please join us in congratulating these employees!
