The work – which lasted three months – was carried out by AkzoNobel’s Coral brand at the Anhumas and Tanquinho stations, part of a popular tourist route. After removing layers of paint applied over the course of nine decades, it was possible to uncover the original colors and return the interior and exterior walls to their original state. “It’s a real pleasure for us to positively impact the thousands of visitors who pass through the stations every year,” said Fernando Domingues, Marketing Director of AkzoNobel Decorative Paints in Brazil. Backed by the Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, the project involved the use of more than 1,700 gallons of paint.
