Washington, D.C., November 11, 2014 /3BL Media/On November 14, 2014, Deirdre White, CEO of PYXERA Global, will discuss how global pro bono programs can foster shared value for a company, community, and volunteers at the ISEP Conference 2014 in Arlington, VA. ISEP is a network of more than 300 colleges and universities in 50 countries cooperating to provide affordable access to international education.

White will share insights regarding the ability of global pro bono programs to create sustainable impact during the session, The Global Pro Bono Impact: Building Skills for the Global Workplace.  She will also interview IBM Corporate Service Corps alumni, Bonnie Glick, who is currently Senior Vice President, GlobalConnect Division Meridian International Center.

Matt Clark, Program Manager of the Center for Citizen Diplomacy, will also present at the ISEP conference Friday, November 14.  Clark’s interactive workshop, Citizen Diplomacy on Campus & Beyond: Peer-to-Peer Global Engagement, will explore a training model that engages students with international peers on and off campus, inspiring them to develop global competency and leadership skills that will be useful beyond graduation. Recent pilot testing of this model shows that students consistently increase their understanding of citizen diplomacy and global competency through this series of interactive workshops.

Clark will also facilitate a “World Café” session featuring the question “Is global citizenship a real thing or just another buzzword?” to open the conference the morning of Thursday, November 13.
