PwC Donates $50,000 to CC Sabathia's PitCCh In Foundation

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) New York, NY - December 9, 2011 - PwC US is donating $50,000 to CC Sabathia's PitCCh In Foundation.  The firm made the announcement during an event hosted Wednesday night by radio personality and author Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo and featuring the New York Yankees' five-time all-star pitcher at its Madison Avenue headquarters. 

"As a firm, we are committed to making a difference and giving back to the community—not just during the holidays, but throughout the entire year," said Brendan Dougher, PwC's New York Metro Managing Partner. "CC has been a role model not only on the baseball diamond, but also with his off-the-field charitable work in the community. We're pleased to support his cause."   Established in 2010, PitCCh In Foundation Inc. is a 501c(3) national non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of inner city youth by working to raise their individual self-esteem through educational and athletic activities. The organization is led by Sabathia, his wife Amber, mother Margie and a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers.   PwC's donation supports the firm's overarching commitment to be a responsible leader in the communities in which its people live and work and demonstrate its cohesive approach to Corporate Responsibility.
