Product Environmental Profiles provide detailed environmental attributes

Weyerhaeuser believes providing accurate, up-to-date information about the sustainability of its products is one step toward helping people make informed purchasing decisions. The company provides Product Environmental Profiles that summarize environmental attributes of its products, from raw material sourcing to manufactured product, i.e., “cradle-to-gate”. These profiles are intended to inform Weyerhaeuser’s customers about key environmental indicators like partial carbon footprint, fiber sourcing, air emissions, water use, water discharges and residuals management.

Weyerhaeuser’s team of life-cycle and environmental-data analysts has developed Product Environmental Profiles for the company’s most popular products, including absorbent pulp, papergrade pulp, softwood lumber and more.

Weyerhaeuser’s Product Environmental Profiles are updated annually and are published with the company’s online sustainability report. The report also contains information about the parameters included in the profiles and how they are calculated, which further enhances transparency.
