Polls open for voting in 3rd Annual Corporate Citizenship Film Festival
Boston College competition features videos from 37 companies

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Chestnut Hill, Mass - Feb. 24, 2011 - The entrants are all in for the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship’s 3rd Annual Corporate Citizenship Film Festival and it’s time for the public to vote!
A total of 37 companies have submitted videos to compete for the Film Festival trophy for best demonstration of using video to tell a corporate citizenship story. The 37 participants is an all-time high for the festival and the field promises to offer some compelling examples of how a company can tap the power of video to communicate the positive impact of its work in the community and around the world. FedEx took first place in the 2009 competition with a powerful presentation of how it uses its shipping and logistics expertise to help communities devastated by natural disasters. And last year, PwC earned top honors with an inspiring presentation of its program that sponsored 100 college students who took on several service projects to help rebuild communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Companies with videos in the film festival are: Amway, Allstate, Astro, Avnet, Avon, Best Buy, Campbell’s Soup, Choice Hotels International, Comcast, conEdison, Cummins Inc., Dassault Systemes, Dell, Dow Chemical, Ernst & Young, Farm Credit Canada, FedEx, General Mills, Harris Bank, HP, Hyundai, ITT Watermark, Johnson & Johnson, Marathon Oil, Merck, Microsoft, Mosaic, National Instruments, PwC, Samsung, Siemens, Southwest Airlines, Teradata, Tyco, UST Global, WorkSafeBC and Xcel Energy. This festival has captured the imagination of many beyond the corporate citizenship world and some 50,000 people are expected to view and vote for their favorite. Anyone can see the videos and cast a vote by going to the Film Festival page of the Center’s website through Thursday, March 10. This voting will narrow the entries to the top 10. Then from March 14 to March 24, voting to determine the best video among the 10 finalists will take place in the Boston College Center’s online Member Community. All employees of the 360 companies that are members of the Center for Corporate Citizenship are eligible to vote for the best video among the finalists. All finalists will be available for viewing at the 2011 International Corporate Citizenship Conference to be held April 10-12 in Minneapolis. The winning video will be announced and showcased on April 11in a red carpet ceremony before the 500 corporate citizenship professionals in attendance at the Conference dinner program.
