P&O CRUISES IN THE COMMUNITY

P&O Cruises is proud to support two separate but diverse charity partners that together enhance the community in making a real and enduring difference to the lives of people of all ages.

Every day, we are inspired by the outstanding contribution and achievements of our partners – Lifeline Australia and Save the Children Australia.

This is how we are helping our charity partners:

LIFELINE AUSTRALIA

Launched in 1963 as a 24-hour telephone counselling service and now operating from 60 locations Australia-wide, Lifeline connects people in need with mental health support, in addition to delivering a range of national services.

Lifeline receives more than one million contacts each year from people seeking care via telephone, Internet or face-to-face. It overcomes time and distance to provide support day or night.

P&O Cruises provides Lifeline with surplus items from our ships and offices including blankets, appliances and computers in a partnership that will develop over time.

SAVE THE CHILDREN AUSTRALIA

Earlier this year, P&O Cruises partnered with Save the Children Australia to raise much-needed funds for this organization, which provides disadvantaged youth in the Pacific Islands with a wide range of essential services.

Adult guests can also donate $1 toward Save the Children Australia through their shipboard accounts with opportunities for additional contributions during the voyage. Guests can also participate in on-board activities such as the Born to Knit Kit where they can knit a square for a blanket that will be donated to new mothers within the Pacific Islands.
