Energy-efficient pool pumps have surpassed energy savings of 12 billion kilowatt hours

In honor of Energy Efficiency Day, October 5, 2017, global water company Pentair is celebrating energy savings of 12.7 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) since 2005 with its energy efficient pool pumps—helping prevent the release of 8.9 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), the equivalent of 21.3 billon car-driven miles.* With its continued commitment and leadership in manufacturing energy efficient pool pumps, Pentair has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) as an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year since 2013, and a recipient of its Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award in both 2016 and 2017.
