Pay It Forward by Giving Back: Families of Fallen American Soldiers

All too often U.S. military service members give their lives in service to their country. What if there was a way to give back to the families of those soldiers?

Believe With Me is an organization that recognizes fallen military members and their ultimate sacrifice. The Believe With Me mission is to bring hope and help to the lives of those left behind when a soldier has lost his or her life in service to our country. By giving back to the families of these soldiers, the organization wants each to know that America remembers their loved ones, especially during the holiday season.

“When a Gold Star widow gets a box full of gifts for her children from Believe With Me’s An American Gold Star Christmas project, she breathes hope knowing that her children are remembered at the holidays,” said Lyette Reback, founder of Believe With Me.

Through the Believe With Me Gold Star Christmas project, donors can contribute a monetary gift that will fund an assortment of Christmas gifts to be sent to the children of fallen soldiers, just in time for the holidays. Believe with Me asks Gold Star Families to register on their website, www.believewithme.com to be eligible for their Gold Star Christmas project. Believe With Me then purchases the gifts and wraps and prepares each box for shipping, with the help of FedEx.

As part of the FedExCares “Delivering for Good” initiative, FedEx uses their global network and logistics expertise to help organizations with mission-critical needs in times of disaster and for special shipments. Believe With Me approached FedEx with the opportunity to collaborate in 2015 and the teamwork has continued ever since, by way of donated charitable shipping costs.
