Local Virginia CITGO Marketer Teams with Two CITGO Terminals to Benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association
South Hill, Va., August 11, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Local CITGO Marketer Parker Oil Company and CITGO Petroleum Corporation recently joined forces to support the annual CITGO/Parker Oil Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Golf Outing. Recently, Parker Oil employees and representatives from CITGO terminal facilities in Richmond and Chesapeake, Va. joined MDA representatives, golfers and other supporters at the Golf Club at Brickshire in Providence Forge, Va. to enjoy a day of golf while raising funds and awareness for the local chapter of MDA.
“We’ve been involved with the MDA Golf Outing for the last 12 years, and the response we get from the community grows each and every year,” said Jerry Moore, operations manager at Parker Oil. “We’re grateful to all those that make it possible for us to support such an important cause, especially the folks at both CITGO terminals, who, in addition to being a title sponsor of the event, come down to do everything from setting up the course to cooking the food. The event, which included a round of golf on the world-class course at Brickshire, benefitted families throughout Virginia who are dealing with the challenges associated with neuromuscular diseases. Through 27 years of support, joined for the last 12 by Parker Oil, the local CITGO terminals have raised more than $800,000 for MDA.
