Pact Launches New Three-Year Strategy
October 6, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Pact launched a new strategy this week that will guide its work over the next three years. The strategy directly engages with and responds to the needs and priorities of the communities Pact serves, addresses major new trends in the development sector and responds to the demand to change power relationships within the sector itself.
The strategy is the result of a nine-month process that kicked off in January 2021 and included input from staff across all 20 of Pact’s country offices. It builds on the 50-year history of the organization and its roots in developing local capacity to tackle development challenges.
“This is an exciting time for Pact as we recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. Our new strategy builds on five decades of technical excellence, evidence and impact, and doubles down on our belief that community ownership is essential to ensure that development endures,” said Caroline Anstey, President & CEO of Pact.
“When communities are the architects of their own development and are supported with data-driven, evidence-based approaches, lasting change is possible.”
Pact’s 2021-2024 strategy places strong emphasis on evidence and data, local ownership of development and ensuring that Pact has the strongest operational foundation to achieve its mission. Underpinning the strategy are the organization’s core values of respect, integrity and inclusion.
