Norfolk Southern Listed in Newsweek's Top Green Companies in the World for 2015

June 9, 2015 – Norfolk Southern Corporation advanced to No. 115 – from 312 – and was the highest ranked U.S. railroad in the 2015 Newsweek Green Rankings of the world’s 500 largest publicly traded companies. Norfolk Southern ranked 65 among the 500 largest U.S. companies. Created in partnership with Corporate Knights Capital and HIP Investor, the Newsweek rankings score companies on eight indicators of corporate sustainability and environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions and energy productivity.
