NH Wants You to Learn How to Host Parties Responsibly
Liquor Commission, Jack Daniel's encouraging the public to serve, drink responsibly this summer; Mocktail Competition runs through Aug. 1.
Headlined this summer by a “Cocktail & Mocktail Competition,” the campaign features creative and interactive initiatives highlighting responsible use of Jack Daniel’s products, along with creation of alcohol-free drinks known as “mocktails.” The Cocktail & Mocktail Competition gives NHLC customers and bartenders alike the chance to demonstrate their creativity and ingenuity. Featuring a grand prize trip to the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee for a guided tour and up-close look at the whiskey-making process, NHLC and Jack Daniel’s launched the Cocktail & Mocktail Competition in April as a fun and exciting way to engage NHLC customers and licensed establishments as part of Live Free & Host Responsibly. Entrants are challenged with creating two unique recipes – a cocktail utilizing one of the products from the Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands – and a second, alcohol-free “mocktail.” The contest includes categories for both NH Liquor & Wine Outlet customers and bartenders/wait staff at licensed New Hampshire restaurants and lounges.
Along with prizes for each category, there will be regional qualifying events for bartenders and a live final event on Oct. 13, 2016, at the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Coliseum Avenue in Nashua.
NHLC is anticipating the contest will generate dozens of delicious cocktail and mocktail recipes. Entries must be submitted by email at livefreeandhost@gmail.com by Aug. 1, 2016. A list of rules and prizes are available at liquorandwineoutlets.com/responsibility.
As part of Live Free & Host Responsibly, NHLC and Jack Daniel’s are offering tips for responsible serving and hosting this summer and downloadable recipe cards. In addition, NHLC and Jack Daniel’s are presenting delicious recipes for summertime hosting, including a scrumptious bruschetta, a refreshing “Jack’s Breeze” cocktail made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, low-alcohol and no-alcohol versions of cocktails and a video demonstrating how to make the bruschetta, as well as the three varieties of Jack’s Breeze.
