The Newtown Creek renewable gas project in Brooklyn, NY will do just that. In our Connect21 video, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and National Grid tell a compelling story about converting biogas into renewable natural gas for residential and commercial use.
Interesting fact: Newtown Creek flares more than 300 million cubic feet of biogas into the atmosphere each year. This reduces climate change impacts as the methane in the gas is converted to carbon dioxide.
