In 2016, VMware outlined its global impact vision, VMware 2020, committing to become carbon neutral by 2020. The company accomplished this two years ahead of schedule through a collection of initiatives ranging from the adoption of energy efficiency and renewable energy practices to funding sustainable development projects.
