WALTHAM, Mass., April 11, 2016 /3BL Media / – How can consumers and local communities move to a clean energy supply chain while maintaining healthy local economies and solving for climate change? Today, National Grid's US President Dean Seavers launched, "The Democratization of Energy: Climate Change, Renewables, and Advancing the American Dream," an eBook that discusses the ways in which we can transition our nation to a decarbonized economy while ensuring delivery of reliable and affordable energy.
The eBook focuses on solutions underway in the Northeast US, where National Grid serves the energy needs of its 20 million customers, large and small, business and residential.
“'The Democratization of Energy' is based on our Connect21 strategy, which is the company's plan to cost-effectively meet our customers’ 21st century clean energy needs," said Dean Seavers, National Grid’s US president. "To get there, we need to deliver a balanced approach, which includes strategic partnerships, smart infrastructure investments, innovative technologies, continued environmental stewardship, and progressive rate making."
Seavers continued, "We are excited to build a new and enhanced energy delivery model that not only meets our customers’ needs today, but for decades to come. The eBook discusses the path to getting there, which includes wind, solar, microgrids, energy efficiency, and green transmission.”
The release of "The Democratization of Energy" coincides with Earth Month 2016. National Grid is committed to doing its part to not only combat climate change, but join local communities to clean-up areas in need of care across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.
