NAEM’s 2016 Forum Agenda Focuses on Refining Strategy, Advancing Safety and Driving Business Impact
April 20, 2016 /3BL Media/ - To be a leader in environment, health and safety (EHS) and sustainability management today, companies are carefully targeting their programs to deliver a positive business impact, according to NAEM Deputy Director Virginia Hoekenga, who announced the association’s annual conference agenda this week.
“As programs have matured, corporate leaders have become increasingly strategic in how they set their targets for EHS and sustainability success,” Ms. Hoekenga said. “We’re excited to showcase the emerging practices practitioners are using to build engaged safety cultures, reduce operational risks, and make strides toward dramatically reducing their environmental impacts.”
This year’s EHS&S Forum is organized around four program tracks on “Reducing Risk, Spotlighting Value”, “Safety Leadership”, “Strategic Sustainability”, and “Strategic Resource Management”. The conference is expected to draw more than 550 corporate leaders to Denver on October 26-28.
The preliminary agenda, which was developed by a committee of corporate EHS&S leaders, will feature 20 peer-presented sessions on the following topics:
