NAEM to Showcase Solutions to Manage, Leverage and Master EHS&S Data
January 19, 2018 /3BL Media/ - Today’s environment, health, safety and sustainability (EHS&S) managers are challenged to embed their programs into every aspect of the business. To do so, they are increasingly looking to technology to lend a hand.
“Software systems are becoming the digital backbone of EHS&S management,” said NAEM Executive Director Carol Singer Neuvelt. “Data management systems are the key to finding the areas with the greatest potential for business risk and for making stretched resources go farther.”
On March 5-7 NAEM will host its annual EHS&S Software and Data Management Conference to explore common data management challenges, showcase software solutions and identify opportunities to leverage analytics effectively.
The annual conference will feature nine user demonstrations, interactive discussions, a full exhibit hall of the leading solution providers and an agenda designed to meet the needs of users at different stages of the journey.
For shoppers, the conference will kick off with a half-day training workshop on March 5 that will explore best practices for software selection and implementation. It will cover topics such as: how to structure your software search, how to conduct a needs assessment and how to plan for a phased roll out. There will also be an opportunity for shoppers to schedule customized, one-on-one demonstrations with targeted software companies during the conference.
For those who are in the process of adopting a system, there will be a full track of sessions on topics such as user engagement, change management and selling the value of the software investment.
And since selection is just the beginning of the data management process, this year’s agenda will include nine sessions for those seeking to benchmark approaches to data collection and reporting. Focused on such key topics as using data to mitigate risk, manage compliance and identify trends.
With more than 250 attendees expected this year, Ms. Neuvelt said the conference has become a valuable resource for those seeking to drive business value through EHS&S management.
“Whether you’re just starting out or are looking for ways to make the most of your existing system, this is a chance for you to connect with experienced peers, discover innovative ideas and learn how to strengthen your management systems.”
