Millennials Will Fail Without a Collaborative Environment

The good, the bad, the ugly — we’ve heard all the hype about millennials in the workplace. But with 80 million in the U.S. alone and more entering the workforce every day, there’s really no way to avoid this generation. According to a study by Aon Hewitt, nearly 50% of millennials plan to actively look for a new job in 2015.
This young workforce has all sorts of new expectations that are different from previous generations. So in order to create an environment that will not only attract but also retain millennials, you’ll need to equip your workplace to suit their needs. And global research firm Garnter found that change is already happening:
- Employees are only spending about 40% of time at their personal workstations
- Non-group tasks have decreased to about 20% of the working day
