MetLife Technologists Refurbish and Donate Desktops to Families of Raleigh-Area Veterans
Kids to receive computers loaded with educational software at festive Geek-A-Thon event in partnership with Kramden Institute Saturday, October 11, 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

WHO: MetLife technologists, from IT pros to app developers, are partnering with the Kramden Institute to refurbish 80 computers and load those like-new desktops with the latest in educational software provided by Ubermix…all for local families. Raleigh-area teachers nominated students they felt would benefit the most. Half of the students receiving computers on Saturday are children of Veterans and active service members in North Carolina.
WHAT: Members of the media are invited to attend a special Geek-A-Thon event. The children will be given the computers and then offered hands-on training and a chance to try out a host of fun, new educational software. We’ll be playing games in the parking lot too…with a live deejay and Snoopy himself to get the party started!
