Working Mother magazine has named MetLife a 2013 Working Mother 100 Best Company for the 15th consecutive year, a milestone that has earned the company a place in Working Mother's Hall of Fame. The list recognizes companies for their commitment to progressive workplace programs, including child care, flexibility, advancement and paid family leave.
"We're honored to earn this important recognition and milestone as a company. It's a great tribute to our focus on creating an environment where our employees can thrive at work and home," says Elizabeth Nieto, global chief diversity and inclusion officer at MetLife.
MetLife is ranked highly for its benefits and workplace profile, as well as its work-life programs, which include flexible work arrangements, health and wellness offerings, back-up child care, employee discounts, paid time off and leaves of absence, a robust employee assistance program and resource and referral program, and support for mothers and pregnant women.
Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media, says, "Now in its 28th year, the Working Mother 100 Best Companies are leaders in building initiatives that truly support all employees. They are the vanguard of successful companies, with modern policies for American families."
