MetLife and Habitat for Humanity Build Big with Long Island family
On August 13, volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk County and MetLife came together to build a new, more comfortable home in partnership with the Miranda family in Bellport. Supported by funding from MetLife Foundation, volunteers, equipped with hard hats and hammers, began construction by erecting the frames of both the interior walls and the roof creating a stable structure for this young couple and their children.
Employees from MetLifes's Patchogue office, which opened in January 2015, have donated their time and sweat equity to make a positive impact on the community. Through their passion and commitment, MetLife employees continue to advance the successful global partnership between Habitat for Humanity and MetLife Foundation which spans more than 20 years.
