May is Foster Care Awareness Month and We NEED Your Help

May is Foster Care Awareness Month. Right now, there are more than 430,000 children in foster care. Some will be reunified with their biological families, but others will not. Today, more than 117,000 are in need of a loving, adoptive home.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has one mission: to dramatically increase the number of adoptions from foster care. The Foundation’s signature adoption program, called Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, has found loving adoptive homes for nearly 8,000 children. With more than 388 adoption recruiters throughout the US and Canada, and growing, we are on track to find more than 60,000 children adoptive homes in the next 10 years.
