Making Moments of Good
From a donation that helped make a dream come true for a high school marching band to thanking military service members with care packages, General Mills, Cheerios and Walmart just wrapped up “Moments of Good.”
The campaign, from January through March, allowed Walmart and Cheerios to create one million special moments for people shopping in the retailer’s U.S. stores and within their surrounding communities.
It kicked off with a video about a donation to the Louisburg, Kansas, marching band as it prepared to appear in the 2018 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
Another memorable video in the campaign highlighted a surprise mob group song that broke out as shoppers in checkout lines were presented with grocery gift cards at a Walmart near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Moments of Good was inspired by Cheerios’ “Good Goes Round” and “One Million Acts of Good” programs, which launched last year. Our Walmart Integrated Shopper Marketing team partnered with Walmart and the brand to help develop the ideas.
The videos created for the campaign are featured on Walmart.com and the Cheerios YouTube channel.
“It was rewarding to see how happy the Moments of Good events made shoppers at Walmart and in cities across the U.S. during this campaign,” says Nicole Greibrok, marketing communications assistant manager, Cheerios. “We know that these acts of good are contagious and inspire people to do even more acts of good in their communities on their own.”
