(3BL Media) New Orleans - April 26, 2012 - Seven PGA TOUR golfers will battle it out beyond the ropes at TPC Louisiana for $30,000 to donate to their charity of choice. Today, during the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Zurich officially kicked off the Zurich Charity Cup that gives fans of the TOUR and golf a way to cheer for their favorite golfer each week online for nine weeks and help him win $30,000 for charity. Zurich, along with GOLF Magazine, will make a donation of $30,000 to the golfer who has the most online “cheers” on the official Zurich Charity Cup website www.zurichcharitycup.com.
“The stakes are high and the payoff is big,” said Martin Senn, CEO of Zurich Insurance Group. “The Zurich Charity Cup is a creative way for Zurich to share our commitment to helping those in need and our connection with golf, the players and the PGA TOUR.”
The Zurich Charity Cup takes place over nine weeks. To be named the victor on June 25, 2012, the golfer will have received the most “cheers” on the Zurich Charity Cup site.
