Lamb Weston Extends Purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates
Additional Certificates Will Offset Electricity Use through 2014
(3BL Media) Kennewick, WA - April 24, 2012 - ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston is extending its purchase of renewable energy certificates from Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). The additional certificates will continue to offset a portion of Lamb Weston electricity usage for two more years. Lamb Weston purchased its first certificates in 2008, and uses the certificates to offset 100 percent of the electricity needed to power administrative offices in Eagle, Idaho and Kennewick, Wash., as well as the electricity used to make Alexia® All Natural frozen potato, bread and appetizer products.

Our purchase of additional certificates will extend our efforts to responsibly manage our use of energy and natural resources.”
Lamb Weston’s purchase is the environmental equivalent of removing nearly 7,540 vehicles from the road for one year.
As a result of the energy certificate purchases, Lamb Weston administrative offices and the Alexia brand are members of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership. The Partnership is a voluntary program that encourages organizations to buy green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with purchasing electricity.
