Deadline to register online for tryouts is March 9
AEG’s LA Galaxy have once again joined forces with Special Olympics Southern California Unified Soccer Team Exchange program to field a team of talented individuals with and without intellectual disabilities, between ages 16-25, and will host tryouts on March 18 at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
The LA Galaxy SOSC team is scheduled to play 2 matches this season against other MLS-affiliated Special Olympics Unified Soccer teams. These marquee matchups will include hosting the San Jose Earthquakes Special Olympics Unified team at StubHub Center as well as the unique opportunity to travel and play against Real Salt Lake Special Olympics Unified.
“We’re extremely excited to participate in the Special Olympics Unified program for a 5th season,” said LA Galaxy President Chris Klein. “Unity and inclusion are pillars on the LA Galaxy and this program allows all athletes to play soccer together. We are looking forward to building our 2018 Special Olympics Unified Team to represent the Galaxy this season.”
