KeyBank Celebrates Juneteenth

KeyBank is proud to join communities across the country in recognizing Juneteenth this weekend. For KeyBank teammates, Juneteenth is an opportunity to celebrate African American freedom and achievement, while encouraging continuous and honest self-reflection, and self-development in homes, workplaces, and communities. 

“This important day honors the end of all slavery in 1865, two years following the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation.  The holiday is a reminder to all Americans about our country’s history and the work that still needs to be done to eradicate systemic racism. While Juneteenth offers a day of intentional reflection, our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice and racial equity must remain steadfast each and every day,” said Chris Gorman, Chairman and CEO, KeyCorp.
