John Holm, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at PYXERA Global, to speak at NGO Expo on New Collaboration Model

WASHINGTON, D.C. September 22, 2017 /3BL Media/ - John Holm, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at PYXERA Global, will be speaking at the NGO Expo, a gathering on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, on programs for social impact. During his session, titled, Reinventing Development, the Community Impact Collaboratives, Holm will talk about some of the newer practices and programs PYXERA Global has co-developed resulting in stronger and more robust collaborations. The talk will highlight new initiatives that maximize philanthropic investment by authentically aligning stakeholders and local communities for tangible impact.

“A truly collaborative relationship with the local community must be directed by the needs of the community, as identified by them,” said Holm. “Taking this approach allows the community to have a strong guiding voice in identifying the problem and driving for a solution. This will create a more tangible impact to their biggest self-identified needs.”

This gathering is the 9th edition of NGO Expo, a leading global event for professionals in aid and development. The NGO Expo delivers immersive education through keynote speakers, topic driven panels, and hands-on workshops.  Attendees will have the chance to hear about the latest products and solutions to help deepen understanding in their practice areas and foster new ideas to drive innovation.  Other notable speakers at the Expo include Head-Community Outreach & Philanthropy of Twitter, Inc.
