JetBlue Helps Viscardi Students Take Flight
Last week, JetBlue welcomed aboard 12 students from the Viscardi Center a non-profit organization that educates and empowers children with disabilities. The students and their caretakers took flight on the airline’s Blue Bravest A320 aircraft from New York’s JFK Airport to Boston Logan Airport and back – some flying for the first time ever.
“These kids are so smart and happy to be here and it rubs off on us,” said Andrea LaBarbara, First Officer A320. “It’s an incredible day for the students, but also an unforgettable experience for us."
This third annual flight, which is a part of JetBlue’s Reaching Blue Heights initiative, is intended to expose students with disabilities to the exciting world of air travel, while also offering JetBlue crewmembers an opportunity to bring the airline’s Caring value to life.
“What’s really evident today is the care and attention that JetBlue pays to each on our students, staff and all of their Customers,” said Lauren Marzo, Chief Development Officer at the Viscardi Center. “It’s such a privilege to share this experience with our students.”
