Ingersoll Rand Leader to Join Panel Discussion on Industrial Energy Efficiency at 2015 EE Global Forum
Davidson, N.C., May 12, 2015 /3BL Media/ – W. Scott Tew, executive director, Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability (CEES) at Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, will join other thought leaders and policy drivers for an executive dialogue session at the 2015 Energy Efficiency Global Forum (EE Global), May 12-13, 2015 in Washington.
Tew will join leaders from the American Gas Association, Air Movement and Control Association, the Building Codes Assistance Project and Dow Chemical for a panel discussion on the greatest opportunities for energy savings that can be achieved by focusing on the efficiency of building systems.
“Focusing on systems-level efficiency in the industrial realm is an area we must continue to not only provide reliable systems and services to help customers increase their efficiency, but also raise awareness of opportunities,” said Tew. “EE Global helps the manufacturing industry better understand that a system-level approach is key to optimizing efficiency and increasing savings.”
EE Global is hosted by the Alliance to Save Energy – a nonprofit coalition of business, government, environmental, and consumer leaders. Founded in 1977, the Alliance to Save Energy promotes energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment, and energy security.

W. Scott Tew is the founder of the Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand and is responsible for forward-looking sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing resource demand of products and minimizing resource use within company facilities. In addition, Scott serves as a featured speaker and thought leader in linking public policy, economic impacts and sustainability. His recent efforts have led to the creation of the EcoWise product portfolio, an award-winning employee engagement program, and other innovative strategies aimed at reducing energy and climate-related impacts. He plays key roles in several important groups including: the EDGE Center for Energy and the Global Environment at Duke University and the US and India Green Building Councils. Scott holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in environmental science and ecology from Livingston University and he contributed to the recently released book, Practicing Sustainability, by Springer Publishing.
