Expanding the campus at Florida’s Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University led to increased cooling demands and a quest for cost-effective solutions.   Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, Fla., the world’s most prestigious school specializing in aviation and aerospace, was established in 1965 and today serves over 5,200 students. While planning and implementing an expansion of the campus in 2011-12, officials realized that the university’s existing chiller plant would not meet the increased cooling demands.
