Jennifer Crandall is an Independent Director for Land Betterment and is the founder and CEO of Safe Food En Route, LLC, a food safety consulting firm that makes reliable corporate level food safety programs accessible to all companies. Over the last 24 years, Jennifer has worked with both private and publicly held companies, balancing scientific and regulatory guidance with a clear understanding of operational and manufacturing directives that are crucial to the success of a food business. Jennifer worked in roles including 8 years in dairy and juice manufacturing and 12 years at Kroger Corporate in their Corporate Food Technology and Sourcing departments. She has worked in various roles exposing her from “farm to fork” which helped her understand the many obstacles within the supply chain. In her last 12 years at Kroger, she was the business lead for developing the software solution initially intended to ensure Kroger’s compliance to applicable FSMA regulations.
Jennifer also makes space for bridging education to industry by being a regular guest lecturer and alumni contact for Purdue University Food Science students; and has served on the Curriculum Advisory Committee for Cincinnati State’s recently approved Culinary Arts and Applied Food Science Bachelor of Arts program. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science from Purdue University and an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture from Vincennes University. Throughout her career, she has achieved many other certifications to compliment her food safety centered career including HACCP, FSVP, PCQI, BRC Internal Auditor, SQF Practitioner, ServSafe and Gluten Free Certification Program (GFCP).
Paul Damaren has worked as a Senior Executive in the Certification space for 17 years and has over 35 years’ experience in the hospitality, service and retail agri-food sectors. Paul is skilled in sales, marketing, certification, operations and software applications and he possesses an MBA from McGill University.
Paul has worked with many companies across multiple sectors in supporting their food safety, supply chain, health & wellness, brand protection, quality, environmental, health & safety, GMP/GDP compliance, automotive, aerospace, medical, information security and technology requirements.
Paul is experienced managing full P&L and $100M in global sales and across his career he has built a reputation as a professional undeterred by obstacles and committed to success.
Paul is currently a Strategic Advisor for the Crisis Ready Institute, an Advisory Council Member with The George Washington University, School of Business for their Digital Marketing Certificate Program, a sought-after consultant in the industry and speaker. He is an Executive Partner today with ReposiTrak, a global software company that provides an integrated platform for optimizing sales, sourcing & safety in the food supply chain. Further, Paul is also an owner/Partner and CCO of StepUp Solution Services., a consulting, audit, training, and advisory business.
Before working in the Certification industry, Paul was a professional Chef/consultant for 20+ years working in major hotel chains, restaurants, private golf courses and food service organizations. Further, Paul was a member of the National Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks (C.F.C.C.) for 14 years, member of the Region of Waterloo Culinary Association (R.W.C.A.) for 14 years, President of R.W.C.A. (Region of Waterloo Culinary Association) for 3 years, special Events chairman - R.W.C.A. – 1998 – 2000 and National Culinary Ambassador to Russia for 5 years.
