Caterpillar's 2014 Sustainability Report
In 2008, Caterpillar launched a global risk assessment initiative, focused on safety and ergonomic risk, which has resulted in the reduction of thousands of work elements that, using our standard, were considered high risk to medium or low risk, further driving the reduction in ergonomic and other injuries. Initiatives at many of our locations continue to drive our safety results. Employees at the Material Handling and Underground Division facility in East Peoria and the Work Tools Division facility in Jacksonville have recently implemented projects.
Read the 2014 Sustainability Report for more information on these examples of ergonomic projects completed at our manufacturing facilities.
