City of Houston, Recyclebank and Coca-Cola presented The Monarch School with a check to fund its green project at a ribbon cutting and ground breaking ceremony
(3BL Media) Houston - MAY 16, 2012 -The City of Houston and Recyclebank® announced today that The Monarch School, a program of The Monarch Institute for Neurological Differences, has reached its fundraising goal and received a grant for the Recyclebank Green Schools program, which awards schools for unique student projects that will green their classrooms and communities. The grant will fund the school’s green school project, a micro-cosmos garden, which is next to a sustainable art facility. The ceremony was held at The Monarch School and included remarks by representatives from the school, the City of Houston, Recyclebank and Coca-Cola.
Schools across the country participate in the Green Schools program by submitting green project proposals to Recyclebank. Recyclebank members donated their points to help fund the schools’ projects, and Recyclebank matched member point donations dollar-for-dollar.
