The Hollinger Mine was one of the most important gold producers of the twentieth century. Between 1910 and 1968, the mine produced more than 19.5 million ounces of gold. In 1989, Hollinger Mine closed operations and the area was fenced off, remaining undisturbed until now. Today, it is time to create a new and vibrant future for the site. The following animation depicts Goldcorp's vision for the property once reclamation is complete. This not only ensures the safety of property but it will also provide new outdoor spaces for the residents of Timmins to enjoy.
