Holiday Giving Starts Early as Top National Partner Kmart Launches its 2013 St. Jude Thanks and Giving® Campaign
Retailer announces special offer for Shop Your Way℠ members to get more with each donation
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., September 20, 2013 /3BL Media/ – Kmart, recently named “Corporate Partner of the Year” by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for its efforts to help fund research and treatment in the ongoing battle to end childhood cancer, has kicked off its 2013 St. Jude Thanks and Giving® fundraising campaign earlier than ever, giving holiday and layaway shoppers more opportunity to contribute to the campaign. This year, Kmart is rewarding Shop Your Way members who give back -- now through Dec. 28 members will receive a coupon for five percent back in points on their next qualifying in-store or online merchandise purchase through Jan. 31, 2014*.

Shop Your Way members and Kmart shoppers can donate to help the children and families of St. Jude through a $1, $5 or $10 add-on program at check-out in all Kmart stores, or online via a link at Kmart.com/StJude. Kmart will also bring back its popular collectible St. Jude bear ornament, for purchase in-store and online at kmart.com starting Nov. 15. A donation of $1 will go to St. Jude for each ornament purchased, with a minimum donation of $50,000.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 50 years ago.
