Take Alex Moscrip and Britney Myers for example. Both attended our recent IMPACT! Sustainability Champions program in Vancouver with a dream to open a sustainability focused local community café. The leadership and sustainability training offered by the IMPACT! Program gave Alex and Britney the inspiration, energy, and resources to make their vision a reality. Here’s what they had to say:
“The idea to open a community cafe focused on sustainable living came about over a year ago, and we would not have progressed past the idea stage if not for The Natural Step and their IMPACT! program. The Quality Thyme Cafe will show by example how sustainable living can be achieved and how individuals can contribute to change in their everyday lives.”
At this point in time, Alex and Britney have developed a business plan for the Quality Thyme Café and are connecting with local suppliers and partners to get their vision off the ground.
