Webinars on the new globally applicable tool for managing waste impacts
June 2, 2020 /3BL Media/ - Following the launch of a standard that enables organizations to minimize waste impacts, two virtual events are taking place to highlight how companies can make the most of this global best practice for waste reporting – and how it can unlock circularity benefits.
GRI 306: Waste 2020 published on May 19, following a two-year process to develop a disclosure standard focused on a complete picture of waste impacts. It is now available as part of the GRI Standards – the world’s most widely used framework for sustainability reporting – and has already been downloaded almost 3,000 times since launch.

The new GRI Waste Standard was developed by a multi-stakeholder expert working group and underwent global consultation.
The June 11 webinar will include advice on the GRI Waste Standard alongside the Cirulytics tool provided by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the WBCSD’s Circular Transitions Indicators.
Since publishing on May 19, GRI 306: Waste 2020 has been downloaded 1,231 times individually and 1,731 as part of a consolidated set of the GRI Standards.
