HEINEKEN’s first ever Enjoy Responsibly Day

On the 4th of September HEINEKEN celebrates Enjoy Responsibly Day, the first ever worldwide event engaging and educating thousands of colleagues from our operations across the globe.

The aim of HEINEKEN’s global Enjoy Responsibly Day is to raise awareness within our business about the impact of alcohol abuse and to work together to make moderation the social norm. From distributing 10,000 breathalysers in the Congo, to industry roundtables in France, drink driving education in Russia, and talking to consumers in Brazil, our 85.000 HEINEKEN employees can take part in a diverse range of locally relevant activities on Enjoy Responsibly Day.

At a global level employees will being showing they think moderation is cool by featuring in a music video for a remix of acclaimed international DJ Armin van Buuren’s ‘Save my Night’ track – the theme song of the Heineken® Dance More Drink Slow campaign. An interactive digital platform will connect employees worldwide allowing them to share their thoughts, photos, and experiences with one another. And our Employee Reporters will give a round-up of the day’s activities in a video news report out Monday 8 September 2014; make sure to watch it then.

At HEINEKEN it is our ambition to tackle alcohol abuse and make moderation cool. We want our brands to form a central part in our moderation message: stay in control of your actions and enjoy your experiences.

Brewing a Better Future: It is HEINEKEN's strategy for creating shared, sustainable value: for our company, for society and for the planet. And it is fundamental to how we do business. Developed with our stakeholders and based on insight into global trends, our strategy focuses on the four areas where we can make the biggest difference: water, CO2, local sourcing and responsible consumption. These are underpinned by our values and behaviours: living our values, leading by example, and working together to make a difference.
