Guest Post: filmanthropos Announces Beneficiary for First-Ever #AllViner
Los Angeles based production company filmanthropos announces Swipes for the Homeless as the chosen beneficiary for their Pro Bono Week 2013 #allviner event.
October 21, 2013 /3BL Media/ - For selected #allviner contestant Swipes for the Homeless, combating hunger is like is like a Vine: It only takes 6 seconds or less - Quick, fun, impactful.
ABOUT THE ALLVINER CAMPAIGN
With the popularity of vine coming from a fascination with testing the app's time constraints, production company filmanthropos, decides to take testing time constraints to another level - collectively using the app’s micro format to create a short film made entirely out of 6-second vines within only 24-hrs - an allviner.
The allviner is a 24-hr collaborative creative blitz to help a cause tell their story and the impact they are making in a short film compiled of many vines. The entire effort is being donated pro bono by a team of 6 talented filmmakers, storytellers, illustrators, and artists in celebration of Pro Bono Week 2013.
From October 1, 2013 - October 18th, 2013 filmanthropos ran a call for entries social media campaign asking causes to tweet about why they should be the selected beneficiary for the event. The collective outreach - which can be tracked on social media via the hashtag #allviner - spanned across 983,000 people, accomplished over 50 direct supporters, and resulted in 18 submissions from causes.
The winning tweet came from Swipes for the Homeless, a nonprofit program that allows students to donate their unused meal points at the end of each semester, which are used to purchase food that students then deliver and serve to those facing food insecurity.
