Goldcorp Recognized in 2018 Enablon Excellence Awards

In recognition of our approach to risk management, Goldcorp recently received the 2018 Enablon Excellence Award for Integrated Risk Management (Americas).  Enablon, the world’s leading provider of EHS, Operational Risk Management and Sustainability Software, recognizes organizations that are leading the way in their industry and that effectively leverage technology to improve their sustainability performance to benefit their business and the communities in which they operate.

Enablon is the software tool Goldcorp uses to support our Sustainability Excellence Management System (SEMS).

“We started using Enablon in 2010 to track sustainability data we are required to disclose as members of the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM),” commented Lisa Wade, VP of Environment, Reclamation and Closure. “We have since increased the use of Enablon to include: event reporting, action item tracking, compliance & auditing, and most recently the launch of the risk module.  The implementation of the risk module now allows us greater transparency and communication regarding risk management.  Goldcorp has developed a new generation of key Enablon leaders that have helped us design and implement new Enablon modules in a way that best serves Goldcorp.  The Enablon team has also shown real dedication to continuously improving all the Enablon modules for a better end user experience.”

“This was an exciting moment for our team as Goldcorp walked onto the stage to accept the award with not just the corporate Enablon Team, but a large group of site users as well,” added Petrina Torgerson, Senior Sustainability Analyst, who was one of several Goldcorp employees able to attend the award ceremony in June. “This speaks to our dedication to get end users involved in how we implement Enablon at Goldcorp.”
