FOX's 'Grease: Live' Partners with DoSomething.org for Teens for Jeans Campaign

In an effort to help the more than one million young people in the United States who experience homelessness every year, the cast of FOX's hit musical special Grease: Live partnered with DoSomething.org for its annual Teens for Jeans campaign, encouraging youth to collect jeans for the homeless. FOX promoted the campaign across its social media platforms during the live broadcast on Sunday, January 31, and members of both the cast and the audience got involved, as well.
Teens for Jeans encourages young people to run jeans drives in their schools and communities, and to donate those jeans to local homeless shelters. A pair of jeans is one of the items most requested by young people entering shelters, according to the National Center on Family Homelessness. DoSomething.org, one of the largest global organizations for young people and social change, has run the campaign for the past eight years, and in that time, it has provided more than 5 million pairs of jeans to homeless youth.
In addition to national promotion, the Grease: Live cast hosted its own Rydell High jeans drive on set, with cast members Keke Palmer, Carly Rae Jepson, Jordan Fisher, and more all making donations. Audience members who attended the live broadcast were encouraged to bring their jeans to donate to the drive, as well.
