Fine Wine and Service Dogs: A Perfect Pairing
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 5, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Fine wine and service dogs—it’s the perfect pairing! Susquehanna Service Dogs (SSD) is hosting the Perfect Pairing Wine Series this summer. Starting May 21 at Hunters Valley Winery, guests will be treated to an evening of fine wine, good food, a tour of the winery, and a demonstration of skill by a Susquehanna Service Dog.
Tickets for this SSD benefit are $60 for one event, $150 for three, or $250 for the entire series and can be purchased online or by calling SSD at 717-599-5920. Space is limited.
Events are scheduled at the following wineries and run from 5:30-9:30 p.m.:
- May 21—Hunters Valley Winery, Liverpool, PA
- June 14—Vineyard at Grandview, Mt. Joy, PA
- July 10—Armstrong Valley Winery, Halifax, PA
- August 21—Buddy Boy Winery, Duncannon, PA
- September 20—Hauser Winery, Biglerville, PA
A Perfect Pairing benefits Susquehanna Service Dogs. Since 1993, SSD has placed over 240 service, hearing, balance, facility, companion, and in-home service dogs with children and adults, including military veterans. Each dog is individually trained for each person, based on their unique needs. While promoting maximum independence, these highly trained service dogs make it possible for their human partners to pursue everyday lives, including meaningful employment, education, and community life.
A fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International, Susquehanna Service Dogs is a nonprofit program of Keystone Human Services and receives support from the United Way of the Capital Region.
