Fatherly Names VMware One of the 50 Best Places to Work for New Dads
At VMware, we believe that family comes first. So, we’re proud to announce that our organization has been named one of the 50 Best Places to Work for New Dads by Fatherly, a digital lifestyle guide for young parents.
VMware came in number 7 on the list. The rankings considered the best paternity benefits offered by leading companies in the United States, and highlighted that VMware provides 18 weeks of full paid leave to new dads.
To compile the list, Fatherly worked in tandem with preeminent experts in the field. Eligible companies had to have at least 1,000 employees and must offer a minimum of four weeks paid paternity leave.
“The companies on this year’s list are truly leaders in the space,” said Simon Isaacs, Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer, Fatherly. “These organizations are not only demonstrating the importance of supporting new parents in this critical phase but are likewise paving the way for expanded leave for all.”
This is one out of a number of recognitions that VMware has received in the past year. VMware received a prestigious and public acknowledgement of our workplace as one of People Magazine’s 50 Companies that Care, Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, by ranking no. 4 on Fortune’s 2016 Best Workplaces for Parents, no. 14 on the Best Workplaces for Giving Back, no. 11 on the Best Workplaces in Technology, and no. 15 on the Best Workplaces in the San Francisco Bay Area by Great Place to Work and Fortune in the large businesses category. In addition, VMware’s IT organization was also selected to the Computerworld 100 Best Places to Work in IT 2016.
