Ernst & Young LLP Receives U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award from Junior Achievement

(3BL Media) New York - March 14, 2012 - Ernst & Young LLP today announced that Junior Achievement USA® (JA) recognized the firm with a Bronze Level 2010-2011 U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for its contribution of more than 5,000 volunteer hours. The award was one of 20 presented at JA’s quarterly board of directors meeting held today.

President George W. Bush established the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers make in communities and encourage more people to serve. The Council created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
