Epsilon and Conversant Invest $250,000 in Chicagoland Nonprofits
Companies invest cumulative $800,000 for Northern Illinois Food Bank, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Off the Street Club over past two years.
For the second year in a row, Epsilon and Conversant made investments in the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Off the Street Club. With more than $800,000 invested in these Chicago-area nonprofits, Epsilon and Conversant continue their commitment to their Chicago community.
In 2016, Epsilon and Conversant made a $250,000 gift to the Northern Illinois Food Bank for a client data tracking tool and inventory/financial data tracking software. The same way we leverage data to help give our clients deeper insights into their customers, these tools allow the food bank to gain deeper insights into the clients they serve, how to effectively manage and distribute resources and measure their success – allowing them to operate more effectively and efficiently. We also contributed to the Food Bank’s holiday match campaign, which helped increase donations by 10 percent. With a new $100,000 gift toward their 2017 holiday match campaign, Northern Illinois Foodbank will have the opportunity to solicit more corporation donations, thus contributing to a greater impact in the Chicago-community.
Our $100,000 investment in the Greater Chicago Food Depository will help support the onboarding of about 30 member agencies to FoodBank Manager and a Healthy Student Market site. This gift builds on our 2016 donation that helped fund 45,000 healthy meals for children in need in Chicago. Epsilon and Conversant also helped fund a client data tracking tool and inventory/financial data tracking software to help improve efficiency and allow the Food Depository to better serve those in need.
Lastly, $50,000 was given to Off the Street Club, one of the oldest after-school programs for children in Chicago. This investment will help furnish a new, much needed computer lab for the club that will give these kids the tools they need to succeed. Off the Street Club particularly holds a special place in the hearts of our associates, especially this year as Epsilon is hosting the 117th annual Holiday Luncheon for the Club, an ad agency tradition in Chicago. Our associates have really taken on this luncheon by pouring in their time and energy in to make sure it is a success. This year alone, associates have already logged more than 1,500 volunteer hours with this organization, really showing just how important it is to them and the community where they live and work.
