Education in Your Pocket

Some say learning is a lifelong pursuit. Through AT&T Aspire, our goal is to make learning not just a lifelong pursuit but a 24/7, anywhere you are, on-demand classroom. This transformative thinking about access, mobility and content is creating a world of possibilities and expanding the classroom like never before.
That’s why we’re teaming up with innovative collaborators to give all learners, no matter their background or where they live, access to high-quality education wherever they are – home, work or school.
The videos below highlight how we are harnessing the power of technology to make mobile learning a reality. Specifically, we teamed up with Udacity to launch the first Nanodegree programs. These programs offer a selected bundle of courses that teach skills for entry-level jobs in the tech industry, all in an online format. The Nanodegree programs are specifically tailored to prepare people for jobs that will support the software-defined, mobile-first environment of today and tomorrow. To encourage a robust and diverse pipeline of employees, AT&T is joining Udacity to provide 1,200 scholarships for underserved students through qualified non-profit organizations.
We’re also working with younger underserved kids at Momentous Institute, whose programs include a lab school in Dallas, to test, improve and bring to market the best ed-tech solutions for students and teachers across the country. For example, our newly released social and emotional health apps deliver the proven strategies Momentous Institute uses in its classrooms and therapy centers to anyone with a mobile device.
These are just two of the examples of what AT&T is doing to make anytime, anywhere learning a reality for everyone. Watch these videos, let us know what you think and stay tuned for what will come next.
