The second EcoVadis Network Impact Report outlines EcoVadis’ "Model for Impact" for how organizations can drive positive change through sustainable procurement and similar business relationships. It summarizes key actions and outcomes that are facilitated and tracked in the EcoVadis Ratings platform. This acceleration in positive impact is the result of not only quantitative growth within the EcoVadis network, but also new dimensions that increase the breadth and depth of collaboration and improvement in sustainable business practices.
EcoVadis Network Impact Model
EcoVadis’ model for impact embodies the “cascading multiplier effect” that is achievable in global value chains, in three stages: Buying / Requesting organizations leverage business relationships with rated companies to influence positive sustainable behaviors and actions via a virtuous cycle of rating and continuous improvement. These actions generate, in turn, positive, sustainable impacts on our planet and society.
This model summarizes how EcoVadis supports the different stakeholders of its network to better integrate sustainability in all business decisions, yielding concrete benefits for stakeholders at every stage of global supply chains. Commitments from buying or requesting organizations can result in significant positive outcomes at the end of the chain.
