Dispelling Myths and Finding Families

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption not only works to find adoptive families for children in foster care, we also work to dispel myths about the adoption process.

Did you know that there is no age limit on who can adopt? Did you know that foster care adoption is low cost and often free? Did you know that families members can adopt children who are in foster care?

That’s exactly what happened for Macey and AJ. They were adopted by their grandparents after spending three years sharing their home while in foster care. They join their older sister, Haley, who was adopted in 2010. We’re so glad these sweet siblings found their forever family together.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s signature program called Wendy’s Wonderful kids often works with sibling groups in foster care. We do our best to keep brothers and sisters together because family is so important. #ItsWorthIt
